Normandy Nude is a comedy from Philippe Le Guay (The Women On The 6th Floor), starring the irrepressible Franois Cluzet (The Country Doctor, The Intouchables) as the mayor of a proud farming community who must put aside their grievances in order to save their village.
The film is in French, with English subtitles.
Le Mele-sur-Sarthe in Normandy is a dairy and farming community suffering decline and unsure how to get national attention for their plight. The arrival of a famous American photographer challenges, tests and excites the community.
This enjoyable film experience offers superb performances and a rich sense of place.
The film commences at 8pm at Gerringong Town Hall.
Tickets available from 7.20pm. After the film, stay for tea, coffee and cakes ($4) and take the time to discuss the film, or anything else, in a relaxed social atmosphere.
