Officers from Strike Force Boutcher, investigating the suspicious disappearance of 30-year-old Ms Baker, have been searching bushland near Warra Warra Road on the eastern side of the Princes Highway for the past two days.

Police remained tight lipped about what exactly the recovered items were, however they will undergo forensic examination to see if they are relevant to the ongoing investigation.

Earlier in the day police confirmed they were not searching the area for Ms Baker's body but were instead looking for any possible evidence or any of her possessions.

Ms Baker was last seen after she was dropped off at her Early Street, Parramatta, home by a friend in the early hours of Friday, January 4.

She was reported missing by relatives after they could not get in contact with her.

Detectives from Parramatta Police Area Command, assisted by detectives from the Homicide Squad, established Strike Force Boutcher to investigate her disappearance.

During the investigation, detectives charged a 32-year-old James Hachem with murder, despite Ms Baker's body still not being found.

As part of their inquiries, strike force investigators, with the assistance of the Dog Unit, Public Order and Riot Squad, Operations Support Group and Marine Command,started a forensic examination of bushland in South Nowra on Tuesday, continuing today, Wednesday, May 1.

The search has led to the closure of the Nowra Rifle Range further east on Warra Warra Road for the past two days.

Investigations under Strike Force Boutcher, which include inquiries to locate Samah Baker's body, continue.
