A mayday call was issued, before the plane landed safely in a field at Haywards Bay on Tuesday morning.

Fire and Rescue NSW crews were called to the scene on the corner of Osprey Place and Shearwater Boulevard.

All people inside of the plane and in the surrounding area were safe.
