Gerringong's Grind Coffee scores a few medals for their roast

Gerringong's Daily Grind Coffee Company has taken silver and bronze medals at the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria's 2019 Australian International Coffee Awards.

The Illawarra roast was selected from more than 800 entries. A a silver was awarded for their single origin espresso coffee Colombia Finca La Norea, a 'direct trade' coffee from La Norea Farm in southern Colombia.

The company's signature coffee blend was also recognised, receiving a bronze medal in the Cappuccino (Milk Coffee) class.

"These awards not only recognise what we do here at Daily Grind, they also recognise our café partners - small businesses throughout the Illawarra and Southern Highlands," sales and marketing manager Patrick Hoptman said.

"We are as proud of the positive impact we have in our region as we are of our awarding winning coffee."

The Daily Grind Coffee Co. Pty Ltd is a micro coffee roaster, wholesaler and retailer which grew from humble beginnings roasting small quantities of coffee beans for use in their own cafés to meet the requests of other café owners in the Illawarra.
