This international ecumenical Christian laywomen’s initiative with the motto “Informed Prayer and Prayerful Action,” is celebrated annually in over 170 countries.
This year the focus is on the country of Slovenia, located in Central Europe and one of the smallest countries in that region.
Slovenia has two million inhabitants and the official language is Slovene, with Hungarian and Italian being co-official languages.
The Theme is “Come – Everything is Ready!” (Luke 14: 15-24).
Guided by an international worship booklet, the service will also include an address by guest speaker, Glenys Harding, wife of the current Acting Senior Minister of Kiama Anglican.
On this day, women from Kiama and beyond will come together to build closer fellowship and understanding as will women from around the world of various races, cultures and traditions, all sharing a common day of prayer.
