Bringing together the work of some of Australia’s leading sports journalists and art photographers including Jeremy Brennan, Josh Brightman, Linda Faiers, Richard Freeman, Stuart Walmsley, and Tim Wilson- Rugby Life is a humorous and touching exploration of this great sport and tradition.
Coinciding with the 47th annual Morgans Kiama Sevens Rugby tournament on Saturday, February 23, Rugby Life will be on show at the Art Bar until Sunday, March 3.
All photographs in the exhibition will be for sale, with funds raised going back into the local community, including sending two young Kiama players overseas. Harvey Austin is set to represent NSW Country Rugby Union in America and Canada in April, and Alex Swan will play for NSW Combined High Schools in South Africa, also in April this year.
Just like a game of rugby, ‘Rugby Life’ has a bit of everything from superstars to buggie smugglers, streakers, and blood, sweat and tears.
The Art Bar is located at 4 Tingira Crescent Kiama and is open Wednesday and Thursday from 5pm-9pm, Friday and Saturday 12pm-3pm and 5-10pm and on Sunday from 12pm-6pm.
