Held at Michael Cronin Oval, this year promises to be bigger than ever, with 300 cars and trikes registered to enter.
As usual, there will be the whole range of cars on display, ranging from vintage models, right through to Lamborghinis. As an added attraction, the RFS will have a fire truck on display this year, while the NSW Police Force will have a pursuit car on show.
There will be food and coffee outlets on site, plus displays by Shannons Insurance and Prized Pieces Collectables and Memorabilia.
The Motor Fest event coincides with the Gerringong Rotary Market Day which will provide plenty of opportunity to enjoy both events on the one day.
Entry is just $5 per person over the age of 12. All funds raised will go to Prostate Cancer Research.
Trophies will be awarded based on the public’s voting, in categories of best performance, exotic and collectable vehicles.
Of course it wouldn’t be a Lions’ event without a raffle and patrons will have the opportunity to win their choice of a $200 hamper from Gerringong IGA, a model car from Prized Pieces and Collectables, car care products from Bowdens and a variety of first class car posters.
For the motor enthusiasts, Terry Thompson, Council of Motor Clubs Inc president will be at the festval to discuss all things cars.
Gates open at 9am to the public and close at 2pm. Any person wishing to know more about the event may contact Lions Club of Gerringong via Keith Watson on 0401 777 130.
