With the next NSW election scheduled for March 23, the committee thought Jamberoo residents might like the opportunity to focus on local planning and development policies, and meet with Candidates for the state seat of Kiama.
Invitations to the meeting have been issued to Minister for Planning Anthony Roberts, Shadow Minister Tania Mihailuk; Kiama MP Gareth Ward, Labor candidate for Kiama Andy Higgins and Greens candidate for Kiama Nina Digiglio.
To ensure that the speakers are prepared to answer questions about the issues of importance to residents of Jamberoo, JVRRA members have been invited to submit their own questions. All submissions will be collated and forwarded to politicians attending. Several questions have already been prepared, but if anyone has other issues that they would like to raise, they can direct their questions to the relevant person on the night.
Time will be carefully allocated to each speaker and each will take questions following their introductory presentations.
The meeting will take place at the Jamberoo Bowling Club in Allowrie Street.
It is anticipated that the Q and A session will take up the bulk of the time allocated for the JVRRA meeting. It is likely any further non-urgent business and community issues will be deferred for the following month’s agenda.
All Jamberoo residents are welcome to attend the forum. If you would like further information on the program for the evening please contact the Secretary, Ros Neilson at jvrrasecretary@gmail.com.
