The property located at 122 North Kiama Drive, Kiama Downs is now on the market.
Although there is currently no price guide, its location and features suggest it could be an early contender to make The Domain Group’s ‘Top Selling Illawarra Properties’ list for 2019.
Built by the current owners approximately 30 years ago, the three-level, five-bedroom, 350sqm home features direct beach access.
The current owners are retirees Poppy and Sam Saba.
Their son-in-law Phillip Thornburrow said the property had primarily been a holiday house for the Sydney-based family.
The selling agent is Celina Gregory from First National Coast & Country.
“The home is incredibly solid, built on an eight-inch concrete slab, is double brick construction using 67,000 bricks, and the only timber used has been in the doors,” she said.
“They don’t build them like this anymore.”
Despite the market largely cooling throughout the Illawarra, the Kiama area still registered some significant sales in 2018.
These included an acreage property selling for $4 million.
The eight-acre property is located at 50 Saddleback Mountain Road, Kiama.
Also, a top-end, Hamptons-inspired property sold for more than $3 million.
The four-bedroom, four-bathroom house at 27 Tingira Crescent, Kiama sold for $3.35 million in July.
