The KISS Arts Festival will run from April 27-28, 2019 at Black Beach in Kiama, with the slogan ‘Be Part of the Fun’.
Kiama MP Gareth Ward said that he was extremely pleased to have secured this funding.
“I would like to acknowledge and thank Tamara Campbell and Dave Evans who do such as tremendous job with this annual Festival of fun,” he said.
“The festival is a great tourism drawcard for our region bringing tourists to our Kiama township from Canberra and Sydney.
“I strongly believe that government must value and support arts and culture – particularly when it relates to giving local young people an opportunity to demonstrate and share their talents.”
Artistic director of the KISS Arts Festival Tamara Campbell said the funding would allow them to build a larger following.
“This funding will allow us to expand our audience, advertise and market the Festival further afield with a PR and marketing person to really promote the different events,” she said.
“The festival will include international entertainment, national performers, circus workshops, live shows and interactive visual arts activities for young people and families.”
