Last week’s BBQ at Bunnings was a fun affair. We enjoy the banter from tradies and conversations with the general public. We made decent money and were able to donate another $1000 to the Farmers Drought Appeal at Christmas. Each time we do this BBQ we will be giving money to a different charity.
Last weekend's market's income will be shared with the P&C of Kiama High School. The Chamber of Commerce have expressed their keeness that we continue collaboration with local groups who have manpower to spare but no physical assets/BBQ equipment.
About 80 members and partners attended the Christmas party at the Olive and Vine Restaurant.
Our first meeting of 2019 will be at the traditional venue of the Rugby Club. We have one new member to be inducted and we may well be able to do it then.
From every member of Kiama Lions Club we wish all readers a very Happy Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous New Year with many blessings.
