The evening will feature exclusive deals, entertainment, champagne and prizes. Shoppers are encouraged to make an evening of it, while buying the perfect Christmas gifts from Gerringong’s diverse range of boutique stores.
Santa will make an appearance from 4-7pm in Gerringong’s town centre, spreading Christmas cheer – and lollies for the kids – while street musicians will add to the festive vibe.
A Christmas Wishing Tree, created by local artist Stacy Burgess, means everyone can express their wish for both loved ones and strangers. The idea is simple but powerful: write your wish for someone on a tag and tie it to the community Christmas Wishing Tree’s collection of good wishes for the world.
Shopping local makes a huge difference to local businesses and the local community.
Gerringong’s shops will be open until 7pm, offering special in-store discounts and experiences. There’s something for everyone, with all Gerringong’s town centre stores embracing the festive spirit.
To add to the experience, shoppers can go into the running for three prizes, by collecting a raffle ticket with each purchase at participating stores, and dropping the tickets at the Mega Soiree Raffle table in the park. At the end of the night three winning tickets will be drawn.
Proudly supported by the recently formed Gerringong Association, committee member and local business owner Deborah Gardiner said the Christmas Soiree is a great night for getting into the Christmas spirit.
“We’re encouraging shoppers to bring a picnic blanket to enjoy the entertainment in the Old School Park on Fern Street, while taking care of their Christmas shopping at our fantastic stores,” she said.
“Shopping local makes a huge difference to local businesses and the local community.”
Everyone is welcome to the soiree on Friday, December. The festivities kick off at 4pm.
