The application to the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) will also include rate pegging of 9.83 per cent for 2019-20 and 6 per cent for 2020- 21, to be retained permanently in the rate base.
In February, council applied for a three year SRV for the years 2018-19 and 2020-21. However, the IPART only granted the SRV for the first of the three years.
The SRV, which is part of council’s Long Term Financial Plan, is required to meet the NSW Government ‘Fit for the Future’ requirements.
Councillors met to discuss both the SRV and council’s Long Term Financial Plan at an extraordinary meeting on November 7, where a motion was passed to endorse a revised plan.
The updated Long Term Financial Plan 2018-19 to 2027-28, and the related Operational Plan 2018-19 and Delivery Program 2017-21 can be viewed online at kiama.nsw.gov.au/your-council/consultations-exhibitions
Submissions can be made until 4pm, Thursday, December 6.
Council will consider the SRV application, including public submissions, at a meeting on Tuesday, December 18.
