Roads and Maritime Services will carry out the work on Macquarie Pass between Jamberoo Mountain Road at Robertson to Yellow Rock Road, Tullimbar to improve safety for road users.
Macquarie Pass will be closed in both directions between 9am-3pm from Tuesday, November 6 until Thursday, November 8, weather permitting.
Residents living on Macquarie Pass will have access to their properties during work hours. Businesses on the Illawarra Highway are unaffected by the road closure.
During the closure, light vehicles will be detoured via Jamberoo Mountain Road and should allow an extra 10 minutes travel time from Robertson to Albion Park.
Heavy vehicles will be detoured via the Hume Highway, Picton Road and the M1 Princes Motorway and should allow an additional 20 minutes travel time between the Hume Motorway and Albion Park.
Roads and Maritime thanks motorists for their patience while work is carried out.
