1.30pm: A man missing from the Southern Highlands has been located safely.
The 44-year-old man was last seen by family members in Wollongong on Sunday, October 21.
Following a search by officers from The Hume Police District, with assistance from Police Rescue, the Operational Support Group, and the NSW State Emergency Service, the man was located this morning (Thursday 25 October 2018) in bushland near Mount Murray Road.
He was suffering from minor injuries and taken to hospital for assessment.
Police would like to thank the media and community for their assistance.
Wednesday, October 24
Police are appealing for public information as a search continues to locate a man missing in the Southern Highlands.
Michael Stuart, 44, was last seen by family members in Wollongong on Sunday, October 22.
Police officers from The Hume Police District were contacted about 4.30pm on Tuesday, October 23, following reports an abandoned vehicle had been located in Mount Murray near Robertson.
Attempts to locate Mr Stuart were made by police and a search of the area was conducted, however he was not located.
His family and police hold serious concerns for his welfare as his disappearance is out of character.
Mr Stuart is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, with a large build, brown hair and brown eyes.
Police are today continuing to search the area for Mr Stuart.
