It was so good to see so many smiling faces. The weather coordinator did a great job holding the rain off and even organised a bit of sunshine for the morning.
The day started with a little beach walk and tour of the surf club for the younger nippers, while the older nippers spent time with our patrol team understanding hazards around the beach.
It was an engaging exercise and was popular with the kids.
Despite the cold morning, it was great to see the kids in the water. The new addition of our tug-o-war rope brought out the competitiveness from our little chargers.
It was all hands on deck particularly for our under 13/14 nippers, who were called upon in a leadership capacity to mentor our younger nippers. There are future leaders in our ranks.
There was a great vibe at the end of the morning. Kiama Downs nippers continues to grow and evolve not only in junior development, but also in surf sports throughout the entire club both in junior and senior ranks.
