Seven new champions were crowned, which included Culburra Beach’s Keira Buckpitt, following an exciting day of surfing in two-to-four foot waves at Bombo Beach.
Buckpitt ensured a title would remain on the NSW South Coast, taking out the Under-14 Girls.
The natural-footer put on an impressive performance in the final to notch up a decent 13.00 two-wave heat total and take the victory ahead of Wishart, Oceanna Rogers (Shell Cove) and Clara McDonald (Kiama) who claimed second, third and fourth respectively.
Wishart also took out the specialty Pic’s Peanut Butter Performer Award on the second day of the competition.
The Jones Beach Boardriders had a successful weekend in the waves, with six of their junior members securing podium finishes.
Cooper Collinge finished fourth in the U14 boys, Lani Cairncross was second in the U10 girls, Alice Hodgson was fourth in the U10 girls, Keira Puckeridge finished in third place in the U12 girls, Clara McDonald was fourth in the U14 girls, while Jada Larsen finished in third place in the U10 girls.
