Council is strongly encouraging older residents who are carers to take advantage of the eight-week program.
Carers can struggle to find the time and motivation to exercise, but staying healthy is essential to handle the physical and emotional demands of caring.
The weekly program involves a 90-minute session led by a qualified fitness instructor.
The first week will be an orientation session to explain the project, collect goals from participants and assess their various fitness levels.
The instructor will then show participants how to properly use the exercise equipment as part of their fitness routine.
Each session concludes with a healthy morning tea.
Bookings are essential at eventbrite.com.au/o/kiama-municipal-council-9794345834
Cost is $20, starting Tuesday, October 16, from 7.45am at Gerringong Surf Life Saving Club.
