The annual Flyball National competition is the premier event in the Flyball calendar and attracts teams from clubs all over Australia.
With the growth of the sport it is envisaged the 2018 event could attract around 50 teams with an estimated 400 participants and 300 dogs of all breeds and speeds.
Hosted by the Wollongong Wonder Woofs Flyball Club, the event is being held across three days with racing for single dogs, pairs of dogs, beginners singles, open and veterans classes on Friday, followed by the main regular class teams racing on Saturday and Sunday.
The Wonder Woofs will be fundraising for an Illawarra farmers appeal. Each entrant has been asked to make a donation to the appeal.
Final Championship runoffs are on Sunday afternoon.
Friday, September 14 to Sunday, September 16, from 8.30am-4pm at Kiama Leisure Centre.
