They have forged themselves quite the reputation in the fifth division of the South Coast Football competition, finishing the season undefeated with 19 wins and one draw, and a goal difference of 106.
On Saturday at 10am the Kiama Quarriers meet challengers Woonona in the grand final at Macedonia Park in Berkeley.
Kiama captain Jeremy Bull said the Quarriers will enter the match with confidence after four wins and one draw to Woonona.
Bull said the key to success was being part of a team that works together and plays to its strengths.
“There are no egos,” Bull said.
“A lot of the guys, if you say, ‘go play in this position,’ they don’t mind.
“All the boys playing, they all get on, there are no Maradonas who think they’re better than everyone else.”
Two weeks ago, Kiama defeated Woonona 2-1 in the major semi-final – the toughest match of the season for Bull and his men.
“We scored within the first half, and then scored a late one,” Kiama captain Jeremy Bull said.
“They were pumping us for ages, and scored with two minutes to go.”
Bull expects Woonona to play a “physical” style of football, and hopes to defy them tactically.
“Our centre mids are really good with the ball, they can hold it up if they need to,” he said.
“Our passing game is our biggest strength, not losing it for the sake it.”
Just three men on the Quarriers squad played for Kiama last season – most have made a comeback from retirement to improve fitness and relive glory days.
“It’s been a long time between drinks,” Bull said.
"We’re all pumped for it.”
