The team approaches the final hurdle on their way to premiership glory on the back of a 2-0 win against Russell Vale in the preliminary semi-final.

Captain and club president Hayleigh Beringer said the team has what it takes to beat Oak Flats on Sunday.

“I think we played better under pressure, and the team came together and gave it everything we had,” she said.

Remarkably, this is the first season the team has played together, and along with the Men’s Over 35s side, are one of two teams from the Quarriers to make the grand final.

"We have a great team, at the start of the year the aim was to make the finals, we had high hopes, but it was an amazing effort to make the grand final in our first year together,” Beringer said.

"The team has gelled really well, we’ve got great support from the club and great coaches – everything has come together.

"There's a good mixture of experience in our team.”

The Quarriers will take on Oak Flats in the grand final at Shellharbour, 1pm on Sunday.

Asked if victory was possible and Beringer was resolute.

"Definitely!” she said.

“We've beaten this team before, it will be a close game, but I think if we stick to our game plan and give it all we've got we should have no trouble.”
