After a spate of tree vandalism attacks, Kiama Council declared war on tree-haters, and developed this policy.
It been developed to provide council a consistent approach to deterring, investigating and responding to vandalism of trees and vegetation.
The policy is also designed to promote and guide community involvement in the prevention of tree vandalism.
It also guides council’s use of covert surveillance cameras to investigate tree vandalism and prosecute offenders.

The Policy is also available from council’s administration building at 11 Manning Street, Kiama.
The deadline for submissions is 4:30pm, Tuesday, October 2.
