Kiama Swim Club has notched up their best performance in many years at the NSW Country Swimming Championships recently.

The club had 28 swimmers attend the carnival with a number of outstanding individual and team performances.
Bailey Hazlewood, 14, was the standout competitor, with an individual medal haul that included one gold, two silver, two bronze and four other top 10 results.
Also achieving top 10 finishes were Nick Bamford (5), Kaylah Brennan (5), Layke Shipley (5), Sarah Williams (2), Nathan Robinson (2), Avery Green (1), Libby Hartley (1) and Eva Katkjaer (1).
Following on from their individual performances, Kiama had 11 teams entered in the relay events.
The 14-year-old boys – Matt Moss, Nathan Robinson, Bailey Hazlewood and Nick Bamford – provided the highlight, winning gold in the 4x50 metre freestyle relay.
The 14-year-old girls won a bronze medal in the 4x50 metre freestyle relay.
To cap off the weekend, the 14-year-old boys – Bailey Hazlewood, Jayden Wells, Nick Bamford and Nathan Robinson – set a new meet record by winning the gold medal in the 4x50 metre medley relay.
It was a wonderful weekend for the club, as many other swimmers achieved marvellous personal bests. They included Dylan Anderson, Deakin Davidson, Emma Davison, Alexis Elvy, Kimberly Elvy, Orson Grose Jones, Isabella Jones, Tom Kofod, Jayden Madge, Kali madge, Grace Mcleod, Phoebe Perini, Kyah Shipley, Ben Spencer, Alex Webster, Isabella Whetstone and Jared Wood.
