The triple bill features the power and passion of Paquita, Maina Gielgud’s production of Giselle Act II and the new choreographic work by Lucas Jervies’ ‘Powerhouse’, to music by Australian composer Graeme Koehne.
Witness the beauty of music and classical and contemporary ballet as the 60 piece SYO Philharmonic Orchestra (conducted by Brian Buggy OAM) performs in perfect harmony with the artists of theSydney City Youth Ballet (Artistic Director Lucinda Dunn OAM).
Choreographic sensation Lucas Jervies has set his new work ‘Powerhouse’ on the artists of the Sydney City Youth Ballet.
Most recently Jervies choreographed ‘Spartacus’, which The Australian Ballet will premiere in November this year, and Maina Gielgud is working with the artists of the Sydney City Youth Ballet in setting her production of the second act of Giselle.
Together Live 2018 will be presented at 2pm on Sunday, September 16 at The Illawarra Performing Arts Centre, Wollongong.
