Weather stations at Ulladulla, Nowra and Kiama recorded their lowest daily minimum temperatures of the year.
Nowra’s RAN air station recorded a minimum of 1.8 degrees in the 24 hours leading up to the observation on Saturday. The previous lowest was 4.3 degrees on June 15.
Ulladulla’s area weather station reported a low of 5.5 degrees on Saturday, while Kiama’s Bombo headland thermometer recorded a temperature of 8.2 degrees.
Daily minimum temperatures had not reached single figures for the year until June 12 in Ulladulla, but have been below 10 degrees eight times since.
Kiama topped 19.3 degrees on Saturday.
Nowra reached 18.4 degrees on Saturday, before dropping to 14.9 degrees on Sunday.
Maximum temperatures at Ulladulla hovered between 14.9 and 15.9 over the weekend.
The outlook for the rest of the week according to Weatherzone suggests minimum temperatures should rise to 10 degrees for most days in Ulladulla, topping out between 14 to 16 degrees during the day.
Frost is expected on Tuesday in Nowra with a minimum temperature of 3 degrees. Residents can expect a mostly sunny week with temperatures between five to 16 degrees until Friday.
Kiama residents can expect mostly sunny forecasts with temperatures between eight and 17 degrees until Friday.
