It was a huge weekend of lawn bowls for the Kookaburras with all four pennant grades picking up important wins at home.

Grade one kept their playoff hopes alive with a convincing 10-0 victory over Figgy Bowlo while grade three entered the top four with a 10-0 drubbing of Windang.
The fives also kept their chances alive with a last bowl victory over Warilla, while the sevens kept top spot in their division with a hard fought 9-1 victory over Dapto Citizens.
With two rounds of competition left all grades have a shot at the playoffs, with the club showing improvement across all grades.
Also over the weekend, both major and minor singles competitions continued, with both draws down to the final eight.
In the major singles, defending champion Russell Campbell is out after Steve Wills won a fantastic match 31-26. Wills will face 2017 Minor Singles Champion, Craig Fleming, who accounted for Andrew Stewart 31-10.
John Heidtmann is a man in-form after huge victories over Andrew Anstey and Mick Weir and will face Brad Rossiter in the last eight, while Mick Ganderton won through with a tight victory over Brad Gibson.
Ganderton will face grade one skip Dean Aitken after he accounted for Iain Baird 31-22.
The other quarter-final will be between Adam Rodgers and Geoff McIntyre, after Rodgers won through with a tough victory over Norm Rowland.
In the minor competition, Gary Brown defeated Dave Kohlenberg 31-25 and is into the last four.
In other early round victories Kel Dukes was too good for Rob Milton 31-18, while Rob Dylan defeated Rick Powell 31-20. Quarter-final round will be held on Sunday, June 1 at 1pm.
