Emergency services, including police and two ambulances, rushed to the scene of the accident on Ironbark Crescent about 2.45pm.
A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics responded to reports a car had run into the back of a truck. A 21-year-old man was pinned between the vehicles, but was freed a short time later. He was treated by paramedics for a large laceration to his upper leg, the spokeswoman said.
The man, who was loading or unloading the truck at the time of the accident, was taken by ambulance to Wollongong Hospital.
Initial reports suggested the car, described as a small sedan, rolled about 30 metres before pinning the man against the removal truck.
