With three rounds to go, the ones must overcome Figgy Bowlo and Dapto Citz at home and win away at Woonona to have a chance at the big time.
Grade three sits half a point out of the top four but will see semi-final action if they win their remaining three games.
Grade five had an agonising two point loss to leaders Towradgi which means a must win in their remaining games and hope for other results to go their way to claim a semi-final spot.
The best performed grade in the club is grade seven, leading their division by a point over arch rivals Jamberoo and will see semi-final action if they win two of their remaining three games. Pennants re-starts on June 23 with all sides at home.
In the major singles, five time champion Geoff McIntyre was the first bowler through to the last eight with a 31-28 win over 2016 runner-up Terry Boniface.
McIntyre will face the winner of in-form skip Norm Rowland and last years runner up Adam Rodgers.
In the minor singles draw, pre-tournament favourites Damien Loone and Brian Vickers clashed in round two, with Loone prevailing 31-25 in a tightly contested match.
Roger Blakey is also through to the last eight with wins over Paul Bragaa and Bob Barabac, while Dave Kohlenberg will face Gary Brown in a great second round match up after Kohlenberg beat Peter Starr 31-23.
Both singles competitions will wrap up in early July with both major and minor finals set down for July 15.
