The Australian music industry is mourning the passing of the universally loved Melbourne photographer Ros O'Gorman, who died on Tuesday night after a short battle with cancer.

She was 58.
Ros grew up on the family farm at Harley Hill, Berry.
A passionate music fan, Ros had her work published in online and print newspapers, but her main role was working side by side with her husband of 37 years, writer Paul Cashmere, on their own music websites; first Undercover, which the pair founded in 1994 and, since 2011, Noise11.
Their children – son Tim and daughter Haylee – both followed Ros and Paul into the family business as music writers and photographers.
Though she also turned her lens to theatre and comedy, on most nights of the week Ros could be found in the photographer's pit, from Melbourne to Texas, wherever the big rock show of the night was to be found.
And husband Paul was usually never far away, penning the words he would later pair with her beautiful images.
In fact, it was a rarity to ever see one out without the other; they were an inseparable team in work and life.
In an industry renowned for its share of prickly personalities, Ros stood out like a diamond for her vivacious, warm friendliness, her infectious, ever-present smile and unwavering positivity and encouragement to others in the industry.
She was, in short, an absolute sweetheart.
On Wednesday morning, Paul announced his wife's passing in a moving tribute to "a beautiful lady, a perfect wife, mother and grandmother". "My wife of 37 years has left the stage. For her, life was first three songs, no flash and then leave," he wrote.
