A motorcyclist suffered minor injuries after swerving to miss a fox and crashing his bike while travelling on the Princes Highway near Gerringong on Tuesday morning.

The crash happened about 5.10am near the Crooked River Winery turn off at Willow Vale.
The bike was then hit by an oncoming car, causing a fire to break out.
Firefighters from Fire and Rescue NSW attended the scene but reports are the vehicle was gutted in the blaze.
The male rider did not require hospitalisation. No further details are known about the driver of the car.
The accident led to the southbound lanes of then highway being blocked, with diversions put in place for traffic through Gerringong, which was unsuitable for heavy vehicles. They were forced to park on the side of the roadway.
The highway has since reopened to traffic.
