Jamberoo farmer Alan Smith thanked Jamberoo Rural Fire Service firefighters for a swift response, which saved his home and stock.
The RFS was there within 10 minutes to contain the fire.
Though it was raining, the grass fire was just 30m from Mr Smith’s house.
He was glad to see the flashing red lights in the distance as the fire engine approached.
“Just wanted to say thank you to the Jamberoo RFS once more,” Mr Smith said via Facebook
“Here within 10 [minutes] once again.
“Thanks for being there captain John Temlett and co.”
