“So much fun was had as the local community really got behind us, we played to almost full audiences and the show was a great success,” Kiama Matinee Theatre’s Rachel Piggott said.
“We are very proud to announce that a final total of more than $5600 was raised for the carers cottage.”
Due to the success of the show, Kiama Matinee Theatre is forging ahead with another show.
“We have decided this is something the community very much wants, so we shall be putting on our next production in September – watch this space,” Ms Piggott said.
“We also want to throw our doors open to anyone wanting to become involved in any way, from acting, directing, costumes, props to front of house and backstage.
“No experience is necessary, just a sense of fun and a willingness to get involved.”
Kiama Matinee Theatre will be holding their first 'meet and greet and read a play' on Thursday, May 17 and is open to anyone who would like to check them out and get more information.
