Music for the concert was organised by the Kiama Jamberoo Community Music Association.
The KJ Community Swing Orchestra kicked off the music at 9:30am with a selection of popular hits from the 1940s.
They were followed by a fantastic line-up of local musicians who were happy to play in support of the terrific work the Red Cross do.
The program included music from the Leatheams with voice and piano, Thornton and Wild jazz duo, Antoinette and her Katandra choir, EQ duo fusing clarinet, cello and electronics, Fletcher Holstein Scotland trio and Kate A.
The Red Cross volunteers provided a delicious spread of food and Berry’s Bearded Brewer served up hot espresso from his vintage coffee van.
Both Jamberoo and Kiama Red Cross had volunteers working hard to make sure everyone was welcomed. About 100 people attended throughout the morning and all proceeds went to the Red Cross, celebrating 70-years of Red Cross Calling.
The Secretary of the Jamberoo branch Di Lee, was delighted with the turn out.
“It was a beautiful morning and it was good to see so many people enjoying the music and coming along to support the Red Cross,” she said.
“Thanks to all the musicians, singers and volunteers who helped us on the day.”
