Cultural Infusion will present programs to Thirroul Public School on Tuesday, March 20 and Corrimal East Public School on Thursday, March 22.
Cultural Infusion’s school performances and workshops foster intercultural understanding and provide vivid and engaging performances by local artists and cultural presenters.
Its national schools and special programs operations manager Anna Kumashov said Cultural Infusion had delivered curriculum-relevant cultural education to over 5000 Australian schools, serving over two million students.
She said the quality of the schools’ programs provided an ideal platform for further class discussion on cultural diversity and harmony.
Meantime, Wollongong Public School is celebrating Harmony Day in a big way on Wednesday, March 21.
The school is encouraging all students to bring a small plate of international food to share with their “buddy class” and come dressed in their national costume or orange mufti clothes.
The international lunch and buddy class activities run from 1.10pm to 3pm, while the whole school community is invited to attend a special celebration running from 3.30pm to 5.30pm.
