FOLLOWING the exciting 12-all draw in the inaugural All-Stars match at the weekend, co-coaches Adam Bezzina and Gary Breakspear have named their Group Seven under 23s representative side to take on the Illawarra District Rugby League side.

Included in the squad at Nowra-Bomaderry’s Jake Gould, Tyson Simpson, Zac Blattner and Santino Battagliolo, Shellharbour’s Abe Atallah, Jack Kavanagh and Kade Sampson, Jamberoo quartet Corey Grigg, Luke Asquith, Jack Loveday and Dean Watling, Kiama duo Daniel Martin and Cameron Cornell, Albion Park-Oak Flats pair Josh Sainsbury and George Campbell, Gerringong’s Tyran Wishart and Milton-Ulladulla’s Tyler Clark and Harley Grundy.
Helping Bezzina and Breakspear on the staff will be Matt Cooper, Aaron Lucas and Courtney Ward.
The 18 players selected will train at Centenary Field on Wednesday, March 21 from 6.30pm prior to the match – which will be played at Cec Glenholmes Oval on Sunday, March 25 from 10.30am.
Following the match against the Illawarra side, a combined Illawarra South Coast Dragons side will contest the CRL Country Championships – with the first match scheduled for Saturday, May 5 against Western Rams at Campbelltown Stadium.
The Dragons’ women’s league tag side will also play against Western on May 5.
That day will also see Greater Southern Region Wests Tigers take on Riverina Bulls in both the under 23s men’s and WLT – with Monaro having the bye.
