An important but little known Australian contingent was the RAAF Transport Flight Vietnam (38 Squadron) which in 1964 was the first RAAF unit to operate in Vietnam and later the last to leave.
Don Pollock was a Caribou pilot in that first contingent who has maintained close and ongoing links with his Vietnam team, and has edited a recently-released book, Suggy's Men, which provides fantastic behind-the-scenes insights into their valuable work.
Don will talk about the book and his Vietnam experiences. This is a once-off opportunity that should not be missed.
