The students had a Crazy Hair Mufti Day, each taking gold coin donations to support the Leukemia Foundation on Monday.
At midday, 11 students and one teacher shaved their hair. Some of them felt a little bit nervous, but all of the students were smiling by the end of it.
It felt cold after it was done, but it felt nice to get all of the hair off.

Two students were able to cut off long lengths of hair, which will be donated and woven into wigs for people who didn't choose to lose theirs.
“We are so proud of our amazing students, who showed us how thoughtful and generous they are,” a Minnamurra Public School spokesperson said.
The students who shaved their hair were: Mikayla S, Cody B, Jacob M, Bella F, Max O, Will M, Thomas S, Dexter H, Jahl W, Jacob H as well as Paige C and Indiya R who shaved part of their hair.
I had an amazing time and I don't regret it.

Miss Carol Laverty, joined the students and shaved her hair and student, Dexter, who also took part, is in remission from hepatoblastoma (liver cancer).
Through the Crazy Hair Mufti Day and the sponsorship of the shavers, Minnamurra PS raised over $6,000 for The World's Greatest Shave and the Leukemia Foundation.
The community can continue fundraising until June. Find them on the World's Greatest Shave website, and search the Minnamurra PS team.
