NSW Government Office of Environment and Heritage’s Beachwatch app warned residents “pollution is likely, avoid swimming” at all four checkpoints in Kiama including Jones Beach, Bombo Beach, Surf Beach.
The warning comes from rainfall data used to predict the likelihood of bacterial contamination at beaches in the Illawarra region, including Kiama.
