Gerringong 1st Grade lost outright to Lake Illawarra, dropping out of the top four. The top order failed again in the second innings with only two batsmen making double figures. The Jets were only able to reach 93 (Manning Berry 33, Aidan Wearne). The Lakers made easy work of reaching the required total scoring 2-79 from 12 overs (Tasman Berry 1-14, James Hayman 1-25).

Gerringong 2nd Grade had a tough day against Kiama’s 1st XI. Batting first, the Jets scored 65 with only two batsmen reaching double figures (Silas Lightfoot 13, Ed Costigan 11). Kiama’s batsmen chased the small total easily, reaching 0-66 from 14 overs.

Gerringong 4th Grade had their first loss in 11 rounds, going down to the Kookas and dropping to third spot on the ladder. The Kookas batted first and compiled 6/202 from their 42 overs (Paul Peterson 2-17, Brad Speering 1-19, Peter Parker 1-20). The Jets were bowled out for 61 with only one batsman reaching double figures (Srikanth Reddy 29).

The Gerringong U16As (Albion Park and Lake Illawarra combined) went down in a close one day match against Northern Districts. Batting first, Northern Districts amassed 8/130 from 25 overs with Jackson Burns taking 5-24 from four overs. Gerringong’s Fletcher Allerby (1-13 off 5) and Tasman Berry (1-16 off 5) also bowled well. Sadly, the combined side fell five runs short, reaching 4-125 from their 25 overs. A brilliant innings of 71 by Jackson Burns was supported well by Tasman Berry (17).

In a tough position after day one of their two-day match against Keira, the Gerringong U14As put in a good on day two but went down by just one run. Keira’s innings finished at 7/155 from 42 overs (Lachy Weir 2-8 from 3, Emma Speering 2-18 from 6, Ethan Smith 1-7 from 4. The Jets were on track with some fine batting by George Michael (48), Lachy Weir (34), Ashton Ward (19) and Emma Speering (17), with Emma run out two runs shy of victory. The Jets finished 9-154.
