Bowlers returned to the Kiama Bowling Club greens this week for the start of the club triples.

Mick Weir, Rod Logan and Russell Campbell were on fire defeating a Martin Wilson led side 27-9.

Weir will now face Kevin Pepper, who defeated a much improved Ken Bratby's side 30-25, in the last eight.

Terry Boniface, Bill Toulmin and Bill Gorrissen defeated Murray Sheather 26-17 in round one before going down to a red hot Geoff McIntyre, Danny Keenan and Craig Coleman 24-16.

Team McIntyre, last years runners up, will face in-form Dean Aitken in the quarter finals.

Minor Pairs champs Dave Kohlenberg, Rob Hill and ten year old Jacob Aitken continued their impressive form causing a huge upset defeating a Tom Hodgson led side 24-15 to reach the last eight.

Steve Wills side came out on top in a tight affair 32-25 over Iain Baird and will face defending champions Des Gorham, John Heidtmann and Tony Van Zanen this weekend for a spot in the last four.

The Kiama ladies held their annual Jarret Cup fours event last Friday with the popular event attracting 80 bowlers.

Perfect conditions allowed for a great day’s bowls with the Albion Park side led by Pam Fuller taking home the biscuits. Dapto Huntley's Kim Suckley's side took home the runners up prize.
