Friends of Kiama Library presentation
Friends of Kiama Library look forward to welcoming local writer and academic Christine Howe as guest speaker.
Christine's first novel, 'Song in the Dark' is a coming of age story set in the Illawarra which explores themes of love, betrayal, addiction and hope. Paul, the central character, is 19 years old and struggling with addiction. One night, he unwittingly assaults the one person who has never given up on him - his grandmother - sparking a chain of events that will change both of their lives for ever.
Celtic social gathering
At Kiama Pavilion starting at 8.30am on Saturday.
The term Ceili (pronounced “kay-lee”) is a traditional Celtic social gathering. This Ceili will be a gathering in celebration of all aspects of womanhood. It will be a sharing of stories, wisdom, experience, and friendship.
The theme of the Ceili is centred on the joys and challenges of womanhood. We are all travelling along this journey together so by sharing our stories, knowledge and ideas we hope to provide a forum for attendees to network, laugh (maybe cry), grow and connect.
$220 ticket price includes:
Fully catered morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea
Evening Ceili including wine, beer and canapés
2 x workshops
Fabulous line up of guest speakers
Boomerang bag with goodies
Opportunity to start YOUR conversation!
