Christine's first novel, 'Song in the Dark' is a coming of age story set in the Illawarra which explores themes of love, betrayal, addiction and hope.
Paul, the central character, is 19 years old and struggling with addiction. One night, he unwittingly assaults the one person who has never given up on him – his grandmother – sparking a chain of events that will change both of their lives forever.
Christine grew up on the far south coast of NSW, before relocating to Wollongong. She gained a PHD in Creativity in 2009 from the University Of Wollongong where she now lectures.
Christine's talk will be followed by afternoon tea. All are welcome at a donation of $5 for members and $8 for visitors.
