The Paws ‘n’ Tales program is dedicated to helping children reach their full literacy potential, to find a love of books and a passion for reading.
Paws ‘n’ Tales uses registered pet therapy dogs to help children overcome barriers to their literacy development and to become excited about reading.
Paws ‘n’ Tales volunteers and loving dogs help make reading enjoyable in a non-judgemental and friendly environment.
Reading to a dog reduces stress levels, boosts confidence and empowers children to take control of their learning.
This free program will be available at Kiama Library from Term One, 2018.
Please contact Kiama Library on 4233 1133 or email or email library@kiama.nsw.gov.au if you know a young person who would benefit from this great program.
