In the Majors, Neville Norris and Murray Sheather have made their first Major final with a 22-13 upset victory over Brian Vickers and club champion Russell Campbell.
Norris/Sheather fought back from behind to win six of the last eight ends to reach the final. They will face 2013/14 champions Terry Boniface and Mick Weir who won a classic semi final 21-20 against Kiama new boys Gavin and Dean Aitken.
The Aitken brothers lead for the majority of the match however Boniface/Weir picked up four shots in the last two ends to have the match tied on 21 ends.
On the extra end, the Aitkens held game before Weir drew a toucher with the last bowl of the game to reach their fourth final in six years.
The story of the weekend however belongs to ten-year-old Jacob Aitken and new gun Dieter Zimmerman who reached their first Minor Pairs Final.
Aitken/Zimmerman defeated Warren Steel/Rob Milton 18-12 on Saturday before defeating Peter McBeath/Barry Breasley 23-18 in the semi final on Sunday afternoon.
Jacob, in his first competitive year, will be keen to add his name to the Kiama honor board at such a young age.
