Gerringong students score a bush tucker garden

The school will install permanent signs and markers to identify plants and create educational trails.

The school will build a database of students’ photos, drawings and research.

Kids look forward to working with a range of community groups including Illawarra Landcare and local Aboriginal elders to help improve bush regeneration skills, Indigenous plant use knowledge, and to ensure sustainability and longevity of the garden.

Kiama MP Gareth Ward helped the school secure the grant.
