Surfing NSW will once again kick-off their 2018 event calendar in Kiama, with the WSL Jeep World Junior Surfing Championship in January.

More than 40 events are already confirmed to be taking place over the calendar year. Proceedings get underway on Wednesday, January 3 with the official launch of the competition to be held at Kiama Pavilion.
The juniors will take to the water from January 3 to 12 at North Bombo Beach.
During the 2017 WSL Jeep World Junior Surfing Championship, the event reached a total viewership of more than 352,000, which equated to a total of 4,094,923 minutes of viewing time of Bombo Beach and Kiama broadcast across the globe.
“Kiama once again looks forward to welcoming 36 young men and 18 women from across the globe to compete for the title of World Junior Champion and prize money of $150,000,” a Kiama Council spokesperson said.
Benchmark events on the calendar include The Vissla Sydney Surf Pro, The Vissla NSW Pro Surf Series, The World Junior Championship, The Port Stephens Toyota NSW Pro, the Australian Surf Festival and a range of unreleased events that will be announced early in the new year.
