“I was extremely pleased to attend Jamberoo Public School’s presentation ceremony and make this great announcement,” Mr Ward said.
“This funding will help create an outdoor educational area by building a pergola, outdoor kitchen, pathways, timber seating and tables including solar panels to become more environmentally friendly and make the students more aware of our natural environment.
“One of the best parts of being a local MP is visiting our schools and meeting our future leaders.
“I would like to thank everybody who signed my online Petition. Your voice was heard and I was very pleased to be able to secure this funding from the New South Wales Government for Jamberoo Public School.
“I would also like to acknowledge the Principal Chris Speirs and Jackie Hall, Vice-President of the Jamberoo Public School P&C who first raised this matter with me.
“I will continue to fight for our fair share of funding for our local public schools to ensure that every child receives the best possible start in life,” Mr Ward concluded.
Jamberoo Public School P&C vice president Jackie Hall said the funding would go towards building a new outdoor learning area for the growing school.
“This will prove to be an integral pathway for future learning of all children at Jamberoo Public School,” she said.
“We thank Gareth Ward for his keen interest and support of our school community. It was a pleasure to have him announce this exciting project at the schools presentation day. This is a great win and a fantastic boost for Jamberoo Public School.”
