The children’s charity purchased the premises at 60 Koona Street, Albion Park Rail, in 1997 for $225,000.
It’s now listed by Harcourts Shellharbour City/ Albion Park, with the property marketed as a ‘’developer’s delight by the lake’’.
Expressions of interest are being sought for the property, with Australian Property Monitors estimating its value at $630,000.
A Camp Quality spokeswoman said the office was ‘’no longer suitable for the needs of the team’’, however said the charity would continue its presence in the region.
‘’The team will relocate to a new site in the Illawarra region, when we finalise the most suitable venue,’’ she said.
‘’Our level of services and programs provided in the community will not be impacted.’’
The Albion Park Rail property – which features four bedrooms, three bathrooms and two kitchens – is positioned on a large 999sqm corner block opposite Lake Illawarra. It has a B1 zoning, and is suitable for mixed business and residential development.
Recently Camp Quality announced it was cutting ties with the annual i98FM convoy in 2017, after receiving more than $7.7 million as the sole beneficiary of the event from 2005 to 2015.
The decision came after convoy organisers announced in 2016 that the event proceeds would be spread among a greater number of Illawarra charities and individuals.
Camp Quality remained a beneficiary in 2016 – receiving $500,000 – but many others also benefitted from the $1.8 million raised. This year the convoy raised a record $1.9 million.
