Kiama naturopath and author Amanda Howe and photographer and stylist Rebecca Rosconi, have joined forces to create and publish a new cookbook – The Nourished Family – comprising healthy, gluten and dairy-free recipes for families.

The cookbook was launched at Wild Patch Café on Tuesday night with a crowd of more than 50 going along to support Amanda and Rebecca.
The women have a shared passion for wholesome, nutrient-dense food as a contributor to overall health and wellness. Their cookbook, which took a year to develop and publish, is aimed at making it easy for families to eat healthy foods together, including those with common food intolerances.
Speaking at the launch, Amanda said the cookbook includes nutrient-dense foods and removes irritating and inflammatory foods, such as gluten, dairy and refined sugars, that allow the body to heal.
“The Nourished Family packages up all these elements and provides easy-to-follow recipes using nutrient-dense, anti-inflammatory foods so you can truly nourish your family and provide them with the most important building blocks to great health and prevention of disease,” she said.
Rebecca said she hoped the cookbook inspired families to explore and enjoy the benefits of a healthy, balanced diet.
Amanda and Rebecca will be at the Kiama Farmers Markets every Wednesday until Christmas selling The Nourished Family at a special launch price of $25.
After Christmas the cookbook will be will be available at Wild Patch and Penny Whistlers cafes in Kiama, as well as a few other selected health food cafes in the Illawarra. It can also be purchased online from www.asnatureintended.com.au

About Amanda and Rebecca
Amanda is a local naturopath, mainly focused on women’s health. Through her business, As Nature Intended based in Kiama Downs, she has helped countless local women to understand their hormonal health and achieve optimal health and continuing wellness.
Rebecca is a Kiama-based photographer (Rebecca Rosconi Photography) who concentrates mainly on portraits and weddings, however started her career in the food photography industry where she assisted various photographers in Sydney for many years, working on editorial and advertising food photography.
