Batting first, the Jets amassed a competitive total of 9/131 from their 20 overs (Brendan Piggott 33, James Barnes 29, Scott Groves 19no).
Unfortunately, with the weather descending on the game, the Lakers batsman hit out and reached 1/50 off five overs (Josh Spain 1-20) before the game was called off due to rain. With Lakers facing the minimum number of overs required to constitute a match, they were awarded the match points based on run rate.
The Jets fourth grade match against Jamberoo ended in a draw due to the weather. The Jets batted first and were in a good position at 5/150 (Brendan Moore 37no, Paul Peterson 37) off 25 overs when the game was called off.
The Gerringong under 14As started their two-day match against Kiama well, with a very good bowling performance restricting Kiama to 137 off 47.3 overs (Jarrod Tiyce 3-20, Solomon Northey 2-6, Owen Wall 2-10). The in-form Liam Mackrell (61) and his 70 run partnership with Mitchell Micallef (22) stopped the Jets from restricting Kiama to less than 100. The Jets batsmen will need to find form next week to ensure a win.
The Gerringong under 12s team have had a strong win against Lake Illawarra. Bowling first, the Jets restricted Lake to 6/65 off their 30 overs (Riley Sheppeard 2-6, Elijah Chapman 2-14, Noah Parker 1-6). The Jets then went about chasing the total in comfortable fashion reaching 1/68 off 14.2 overs (Will Speering 23rtno, James Kunkler 14, Oscar Smith 10no).
The Gerringong under 11s Green team remains undefeated securing a win against Albion Park, who batted first and scored 7/122 from their 20 overs. Gerringong scored 6-131 from their 20 overs, from many batting efforts.
The Gerringong under 11s Gold team continued their climb up the ladder with another good win against Lake Illawarra. Lake batted first and scored 7/56 from their 20 overs (KJ Sullivan 2-4, Tom Peterson 1-3, Vincent Sherrell 1-4). The young team then went about their chase in style, scoring 1-109 from 20 overs (Sol Parker 12no, Ari Smith 10no, Vincent Sherrell 9no).
